Mortal Kombat: Armageddon is a 2006 fighting game and the seventh main installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and a sequel to 2004's Mortal Kombat: Deception. The PlayStation 2 version
Story:
Each character has two fighting styles (instead of the three previously available in Deadly Alliance and Deception), one barehanded and one weapon. [7] Some larger bosses, such as Onaga, only have one fighting style available. [8] Other characters, such as Smoke and Mokap, have no weapon style, but a second unarmed style. Armageddon also introduces two new fighting systems: the Air Kombat combo system similar to the Marvel vs. Capcom series' Air Combos and also first featured in the action spin-off Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks; and the Killer Instinct series' combo breaker-style Parry system.
Also new to the series is the ability to create Fatalities. These special Fatalities are a series of constant commands that the player inputs until the Fatality ends. This method of performing Fatalities replaces the character-specific Fatalities of previous Mortal Kombat games, where the player would simply input one input and see the Fatality cinematically. As the player adds each input, the time given for the next input decreases and some moves cannot be repeated. There are eleven levels that can be achieved with Kreate a Fatality, the lowest level is the basic Fatality and the highest level is the "Ultimate Fatality". The more inputs for a Fatality, the more coins (in-game currency) are awarded to the player.
